Improve your relationship to your self & others

I am trauma-informed and eclectic in my approach, offering treatment based on what my clients desire out of therapy. I hope to be a guide on your path towards healthier connections with yourself and those around you.

Let’s get real!

There is no magical mental health one-size-fits-all cure. I work with each of my clients to develop treatment that is right for them. As your therapist, I can help you uncover internal strengths and resources, assist in removing mental barriers to the life you desire and increase your capacity for self-compassion.

My services

Couples & Relationships

We all desire belonging and connection but relationships can be hard! Relationships often open us up to the most sensitive and raw parts of our humanity. Understanding our own behavior is the first step towards making real change.

Many of us grow up without role models for the type of intimacy we desire. I work with couples and individuals from a LGBTQ+-affirming, poly-affirming, kink-affirming, sex-positive framework to help dispel shame around sex and relationships outside of our hetero/cis/mononormative cultural standards. Let’s create the kind of relationships that align with your values.

Individuals

Therapy can involve many things, but fixing you is not one of them. I strive to practice from a place of humility. You are the ultimate expert on your life. My work is not about giving you answers. Instead, my job is to ask the right questions. Therapy can be difficult, but it can also be fun, creative and revelatory. It all leads to growth! If you are ready to begin a journey of self-discovery that will propel you into living more fully and authentically, we should talk! I work with teens and adults. Special areas of focus include grief, social anxiety, self-esteem, and those struggling with shame.

About Me

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have my masters in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in LGBT Affirmative Therapy and working with Ethical Non-Monogamy.

While therapy is about you, there are a few important personal aspects that I bring to my work which might contribute to a more meaningful therapeutic relationship. Before realizing my dream of working as a therapist, I was a freelance photographer for over 15 years working in the entertainment industry. I am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. I strive to challenge systems of privilege and oppression in the ongoing work of understanding the psychological impact of racial injustice and trauma, class inequality, ableism, sexism, homo/transphobia and other systemic inequities. I feel honored to have discovered this calling which allows me daily opportunities to create safety for emotional excavation and bear witness to the incredible resilience of my clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I contact you?

Use the form under “Contact” and I will be in touch to schedule a 15 minute phone consultation. If after our consultation, we find we are a good fit, I can send you intake paperwork to get your consent for treatment as well as a general knowledge of you and your reasons for seeking therapy.

Is there a reason you would not see me as a client?

There are a few reasons why I might not see a particular client. It is important to me that each person gets the help they need. If I feel you would be better served by a specialist, I am ethically obligated to share that with you. If this is the case, I am happy to connect you to more appropriate treatment. If I feel I am unable to work with you from an unbiased place because of behavior that threatens the professional boundaries of the therapeutic relationship, I won’t hesitate to recommend another therapist and terminate our working relationship. If there is a conflict of interest, such as a dual relationship (I know you or someone very close to you from outside of this space), it is my ethical duty to refer you to another therapist.

What is the duration and frequency of therapy?

Each session for individuals and couples is 50 minutes long. Sessions are weekly. I may suggest and am open to longer sessions for couples work.

How much do you charge?

50 minute sessions are billed at $200 for individuals and $250 for couples. I have some sliding scale spots for lower income individuals. Most clients pay via credit/debit card. Payments are run EOD on the day of your session. Cash is also acceptable payment method. Your initial 15 minute phone consultation is free.

Do you take insurance?

I do not accept insurance but can provide a monthly superbill as an out-of-network provider. Please check with your insurance company to verify your coverage.

Are you seeing people in person or over video?

I’m currently meeting clients in person in my Larchmont office as well as online via HIPAA compliant teletherapy.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please notify me 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged in full for your session.
